Molly’s vibrant oil and acrylic paintings include a myriad of subject matter. Beach scenes, florals, marsh landscapes and palm trees are her favorites. She occasionally paints in watercolor as well. Living in Virginia Beach as a child and now Savannah have clearly influenced Molly’s work. She studied under Charles Sovek as well as Susan Sarbek. Her work has shown at The Sow’s Ear in Baltimore, as well as The Checkered Moon, The Molly Wright Gallery, and The Parker Sutton Gallery in Savannah. She had a solo showing at The First City Club in Savannah in 1997. Molly’s work has been shown in The Skinnie Magazine, Skirt Magazine, Savannah Magazine, The Savannah Morning News, The Towson Times, and Coastal Living Magazine. She moved to Savannah, Georgia in 1997 from Baltimore, Maryland, with her husband Rick. She has also lived in Connecticut and Virginia. She earned a BA degree in fine arts, specifically in painting, from Randolph-Macon Women's College where she graduated in 1981 with a minor in art history. Molly paints in her studio in Sandfly, Georgia, where her work may be viewed by appointment. |
